The hype train has officially begun for the next Assassin's Creed game; or should I say games. Rumours and leaks have been reported on regularly these past few months with speculation on titles code-named Infinity and Rift, and where these games were set, and what new systems these games would offer players and fans of the franchise.

Now, a Bloomberg report has stated that Ubisoft is set to showcase four different Assassin's Creed titles, at the upcoming September 10th Ubisoft Forward Event.

According the the report by Jason Schreier, Ubisoft will reveal "a peek at the future of the franchise." Ubisoft will reveal a mobile title and two major games. The first of these major games, which is code-named Red, will be set in Japan. The second major game will be set in the late stages of the Holy Roman Empire, with the story revolving around witch trials. The first major game is being developed by Ubisoft's Quebec City office, while the second major game is under development at Ubisoft's Montreal office.

Schreier then goes on to say that both these major games will be a part of Assassin's Creed Infinity, which is reportedly set to be a live-service game, where future instalments and maps will be added. The release date for these two games are likely to be around 2024.

Until then, Ubisoft will show off Assassin's Creed Mirage, which after numerous wide spread leaks, was revealed to be set in Baghdad during the 800s, and will be a more stealth based game, much like the earlier iterations in the franchise, compared to the RPG modern entries.

It is certainly an exciting time to be a fan of this franchise which has been around for more than a decade. The Ubisoft event will be held on September 10th.
